After careful thought and consideration, effective August 1, 2022, McDonagh Medical Center will no longer accept Medicare. This has been a very difficult decision, and one that was not made quickly. Over the last several years, Medicare has proven to be progressively difficult to work with. The process of filing claims is cumbersome and oftentimes claims get denied up to 4-6 times without explanation. This creates undue stress and robs the clinic of valuable time which should be spent providing direct patient care. We understand this may come as a surprise to many of you and we hope you will still continue to choose us to provide your care.

Beginning August 1, 2022, all Medicare part B patients will be required to enter into a private agreement with the physicians at McDonagh Medical Center. Given that the physicians at the clinic will no longer accept Medicare, as a part of the agreement with opting out, we are not permitted to assist patients in filing their own claims and patients are disallowed from doing so. This would be in direct violation of the Medicare opting out guidelines. Again, we hope you understand and we appreciate all of our patients for their support throughout the years.
